Hiking in the Smoky Mountains

HIKING IN THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS REJUVENATES
YOUR MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT

Hiking is the #1 choice for outdoor adventure in the Smokies. There are 160 hiking trails inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You will cross bridges, take in beautiful scenery, and see wildlife, wildflowers, and mountain vistas. Trail maps can be purchased at any visitor center.

There are short hikes and long hikes. A handicap accessible paved trail is located at Sugarlands Visitor Center. Some trails are easy, others are moderate, and some are strenuous. For families with children, there are kid-friendly trails.
